SPECIAL LIVER PÂTÉ

For anyone who has tackled Julia Child’s liver PÂTÉ you will appreciate how quick and easy this Special Liver Pate recipe is. This has a great taste and is always a hit at a party.

INGREDIENTS for SPECIAL LIVER PÂTÉ:

1 can Beef Consommé
3 Tbsp. Water
½ lb. Braunschiveiger Liver Sausage
1 pkg. Gelatin
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 small Pineapple Philadelphia Cheese (4 oz.)

METHOD for SPECIAL LIVER PÂTÉ:

Heat consommé to boil with 3 Tbsp. water. In 3 Tbsp. cold water dissolve gelatin and let stand for 5 minutes. Put gelatin into consommé after consommé has boiled.
Combine liver, Worcestershire sauce and cream cheese together and place in a greased 1 cup bowl and refrigerate. Grease 2 cup bowl and pour ¼ inch gelatin mixture into bowl and refrigerate until set (about 10 minutes). Remove gelatin mixture from fridge and place liver pâté (which has been removed from container) onto ¼ inch gelatin. Then pour remaining gelatin around the pâté and place back in refrigerator until needed. Serve with a selection of your favorite crackers. Special liver pâté can be made ahead and will keep up to a week. Serves 8 generously.
